  Title: What is the one book that influenced you and how?
                       (The Bhagavad Gita)

Introduction:
         The Bhagavad Gita often referred as Gita. It consists of 18 chapters with 700 verses. The Bhagavad Gita is the conversation between the 'Pandava prince Arjuna' and his cousin 'Lord Krishna' . At the start of the Kurukshetra war between the Kauravas and the Pandavas, Arjuna thinks about the violence and deaths of his family members that is going to happen soon and emotionally preoccupied with dilemma. During  that critical situation Krishna counsels Arjuna about his duty for upholdment of Dharma. Those dialogues between them is termed as Bhagavad Gita.
 Body:
       The Bhagavad Gita presents a synthesis of various ideas about Dharma, Bhakti, Karma and yogic ideas of moksha. A person who reads Gita can get a diverse knowledge in many aspects of life. Each chapter in Gita deals with different aspects which are required for humans to lead their life happily in any situation.
 The following are the chapters that influenced me and changed my life is,
  1. Daivasura – Sampad - Vibhaga Yoga(16)
  2. Shraddhatraya - Vibhaga Yoga(17)
The following are the slokas that inspired me alot and changed my way of thinking is
      
         * shri-bhagavan uvacha
           abhayam sattva-sanshuddhir jnana-yoga-vyavasthitih
          danam damash cha yajnash cha svadhyayas tapa arjavam

 Meaning:
The poem teaches us the following things
     1.Fearlessness    2.Purity of mind  3.Steadfastness in spiritual Knowledge  4.Charity  5.Control of the senses.
       
           * ashraddhaya hutam dattam tapas taptam kritam cha yat
            asad ity uchyate partha na cha tat pretya no iha

Meaning:
           We need to do every work with faith and concentration.

How Bhagavad Gita changed my life,
          Before reading this book I used to do every work with less concentration, I used to take every situation to my heart, I used to over-react to everything, and used to have less control on my emotions but after knowing about Gita I changed my way of thinking, after reading Gita instead of reacting to every situation now I am responding to every situation…

Conclusion:
Bhagavad Gita is the perfect companion for life-long learning and there are a lot of lessons to be learned from the Bhagavad Gita, no matter how many times you read it.
