Importance of Comment

All of read articles or material as part of our curriculum.We agree with some ideas and may not agree with some ideas expressed by the author or writer.With the advent of social media, we are exposed to like, dislike, comment and share articles or visuals. Comments in social media centre around our own ideology rather than on the content of the article.
Comment is a tool that should be utilized under two conditions.
1. When we know something that would add value to the content of the article
2. When we need greater clarity, elaboration or explanation not contained in the article.
For eg:For  the article "study to become an entrepreneur"Comment could be as follows:
In India, ultimate purpose of education is to find suitable employment or work to make a living.If employment is not available, what are the sources or agencies through which a graduate can become self employed.
For  the article," Is something wrong with our education system"one can seek better clarity with the following comment: 

It is true that learning is in our hands.We are constantly exposed to people exhibiting memory skills, like reading a few numbers forward and backward.What is learning. How it is done.Any methods or techniques.Is there a procedure or strategy for mastering learning?
A comment generally reflects our level of knowledge and also our ideology.Having knowledge is not bad, half baked knowledge is dangerous.On the other hand, ideology prevents us from learning new things or accepting new thoughts expressed in the article.
For eg:
1. We all know that belief of a flat earth was displaced by a concept of spherical earth.
2. The idea of geo centric gave way to the idea of heliocentric.
We also know what happened to Copernicus, Keppler and Galileo.Inquiry, with the help of suppositions should help us in developing belief systems.Knowledge when stagnant is called religion, when expanding is called science.Science of 500B.C was very different from the science of 1500 A.D.Today's science evolved from the science of 1500A.D
For a student to evolve, he needs to expand his knowledge.Knowledge expansion takes place through extensive reading and judicious use of comment as a tool.Writing a comment is both a skill and an art.Skill comes through regular practice.Art on the other hand is a nuance and sensitivity. Or finesse. It develops gradually with increasing knowledge.
