 Infrastructure in My Campus

ANITS” is located in a plot of 12 acres area in Sangivalasa Village of Bheemunipatnam Mandalam and is approximately 300 meters from the Chennai Kolkatta Highway. The institute is 27 Kms. From Visakhapatnam and is within 30 minutes drive. City Service Buses ply from Vizag every 15 minutes. The campus is at a distance of 3Kms. And 1Km., respectively from Bheemunipatnam and Tagarapuvalasa. RTC Bus No.222 runs from RTC Complex to Tagarapuvalasa.

Inside My Campus

The campus is filled with lush green trees on both sides of the pavement..the entrance starts with a grassy field to its right. As you step in, you will find that separate blocks are provided for each branch in which labs are also provided. There is a separate admin block where fee transactions and other admission-related works are carried out. On the 2nd floor of the Admin block, a seminar hall is located big enough to fit at least 500 students.
There are separate seminar halls provided branch-wise as well where cultural activities, or CRT training, and a lot of other activities are carried out. The laboratories are well equipped and the lab technicians are helpful enough to guide you during the lab experiments. The respective faculties will also be there to guide the students and clarify their doubts during lab sessions.

The LIBRARY is on the fourth floor of the Civil block which is well equipped with books related to separate branches, for GATE preparation, and general books as well. There is a digital library on the same floor where students have the access to learn any kind of coding that they might wanna learn. There is a Canteen in between the Civil and IT block and it is the place where most of the students hang out. The food quality is decent enough.

Hostels in My Campus

There is a college hostel as well as hostels outside the college. The fee structure of the college hostel varies yearly. The timings are strict enough but safety is maintained properly. 3-4 students per room. A separate boys' hostel, as well as a girls' hostel, is there with enough security. Hostel fees: 85000 rupees per annum.

Transport facilities for My Campus
Bus facilities are provided for day scholars and fees vary according to the students’ destination.

Sports  Activities

A separate basketball court is inside the campus where students get to play. There is also an indoor stadium above the PG block. Students also get to play games like chess, carroms, etc.

Life in ANITS

Classes start at 8:40 am and continue till 3:20 pm. A lunch break is provided between 12 pm to 12:50 pm. There is a mess for hostelers (college hostelers) and the canteen is for hostelers as well as the day scholars. It is fun on campus. Being a 2nd-year student myself, I have had my share of experiences here. You will get to meet students from different districts around Vizag and people from other cities as well. So it is nice getting to know your peers from different backgrounds with different aspirations. The faculty is decent enough, some are really friendly and most of the faculty is encouraging in every aspect. It’s definitely not going to be a smooth experience, you will be having a lot to write .. in simple words, you will never run out of work but it’s all fun at the same time.

Fun Activities

The college conducts Fests yearly, there is a Cultural fest as well as a Technical fest where students get to display their talents in their respective domains. Branches also conduct separate competitions and Expos like Coding contests, Project expos, etc. where students will get opportunities to showcase their ideas. Just a month ago, in April, we even performed a flashmob in happening places in the city of Vizag like CMR Central, beach, etc.

Campus Placements

ANITS is ranked in the Top-Ten Most Preferred Colleges out of 700+ private engineering colleges in the state of AP (as per APSCHE, the body which conducts engineering admissions in the state).  ANITS provides the students with Campus Recruitment Training with enough facilities and facilities right from the 3rd year. It focuses primarily on Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, English Grammar, Group Discussions, How to face an interview, etc during their pre-final year.

Companies like Amazon, TCS, INFOSYS, CDK Global, Value Labs, Riktam, Hexaware technologies, etc.. approach our college to recruit the students. In 2021-22, 1600+ students have been recruited.

Other aspects
The College is strictly against ragging, so the freshers need not panic about it. The seniors are supportive and helpful and they are amiable.

  • Attendance is considered, so students need to be regular
  • Students won’t be allowed inside the campus if they have no ID cards.
  • Uniform varies for every batch of students.

So I would like to conclude by saying that engineering is not just about academics, it is a lot more than that. Nobody mentions this but it’s about patience, learning to communicate, make more bonds and keeping those bonds, time management, and learning to enjoy all the same.
It doesn’t matter which college you are in, but you definitely got to learn these skills and more. And being a student here, I am on my way to learning.

With best wishes
