# Pre-Sankranti Preparations
1. *Cleaning and Decorating Homes*: Homes are thoroughly cleaned, and floors are decorated with intricate rangoli designs using rice flour, flowers, and colors.
2. *Preparing Traditional Sweets*: Traditional sweets like sakinalu, ariselu, and gavvalu are prepared in advance.


# Sankranti Day Customs
1. *Early Morning Bath*: People take an early morning bath, often with a mixture of turmeric and sesame oil, believed to have purifying properties.
2. *Worshiping the Sun God*: Devotees worship the Sun God, Surya, by offering prayers, flowers, and traditional sweets.
3. *Harvest Festival*: Sankranti marks the beginning of the harvest season. Farmers offer thanks to the Sun God for the bounty.
4. *Kite Flying*: Kite flying is an integral part of Sankranti celebrations, symbolizing the joy and spirit of the festival.
