Importance of the sankranthi

Sankranthi is the festival of farmers,we celebrated elaborately in villages than in cities.This festival comes under the crops are harvested.Farmers and daily wase workers do not have that much work to do,but they have money in their hands  in the village,they are celebraing very well in the villages.Every year they r celebrating in the month of January on 13,14,15,15.The festival of Sankranthi as a geographical importance .This festival indicates the Sun ,sun transformes from dakshinayana from vuntharayana,enters the makar rasi,This is also called as Makar Sankranti.In the Southern parts of the country and tamil nadu a dish called pongal , prepared with Rice ,milk ,jaggery is called as a pongal,this name is called under this dish . People used to celebrate this festival very happily n all the relatives get togethers also they planning to do .ladies are putting special Rangoli on the ocation of Sankranthi n children they used to celestial n decorate rangoli with flowers n Cow doung cake they used to keep on the middle of the Rangoli,they used sing gobbilu songs also ,for small children they used to celebrate boghipallu in the occasion bhogi , people they used to prepare special sweets n dishes on that day only .in these special type of arrangements people are celebraing special pujas and all
